Angel Ornaments and Prayers by postal mail

Last updated on December 18th, 2020

2020 White paper Angel Ornaments recd back in postal mailThroughout the year we have been communicating with our congregational members in different ways- email, postal mail and Corona Care calls. Our 2020 Advent/Christmas newsletter was recently emailed to our MLC distribution list and sent out by postal mail. In addition, you will have received a special letter for two important reasons:

Angel Ornaments and Prayers

During the season of Advent, we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. We are sending these ornaments to bridge the distance between us all this year, 2020 the year of the coronavirus pandemic.

Please write out your prayer for 2021 – the year to come  – on one of the ornaments and send it back to the Church in the envelope provided. It will be hung on the Christmas tree and shared during the Christmas Eve service.

Keep the other white paper angel ornament, which has a prayer for you.

Preparing to Vote for a New Pastor by Mail in Ballot

Postal mail gives us the best chance to reach as many church members as possible. Not everyone has access to the Internet. Since the vote for a new pastor next year in 2021 will likely need to be by mail-in ballot, not in-person, we’d like to practice the mail-in process with these ornaments. We hope to reach a quorum with your mailed responses. All our members have the right to vote, so please ensure that Martin Luther Church office has your correct postal address.
