\"book:Unsere Martin Luther Kirche wird wieder eine Veranstaltung w\u00e4hrend der Holocaust-Erinnerungs-Woche (Holocaust Education Week) am 1. November 2018 um 10:00 Uhr<\/strong> halten. In diesem Jahr arbeiten wir mit \u201eSecond-Story-Press\u201c und interessierten Schulen zusammen,um einen Buchvortrag \u00fcber The Promise: Sisters Survive Auschwitz Together<\/strong> (deutsch: Das Versprechen: Schwestern \u00fcberleben gemeinsam Auschwitz) anzubieten.<\/p>\n

Lehrer mit Sch\u00fclern ab dem 9. Lebensjahr, die \u00fcber den Holocaust lernen, sind eingeladen, im Rahmen eines Klassenausflugs teilzunehmen<\/strong>. Die Buchverlegerin Margie Wolfe und ihre Cousine, die Journalistin Pnina Bat Zvi, werden ihr Buch \u00fcber die Erfahrungen ihrer M\u00fctter, die Schwestern Rachel und Toby, w\u00e4hrend des Holocausts vorstellen. Diese Geschichte zweier tapferer M\u00e4dchen, deren Versprechen an ihre Eltern, \u201eimmer zusammen zu bleiben\u201c ihnen geholfen hat, Auschwitz zu \u00fcberleben, bietet Kindern ein Fenster in diese dunkle Zeit, und ist zugleich eine Ode an die St\u00e4rke und Widerstandskraft der jungen Menschen und die Familienbindungen.<\/p>\n
