Vielen Dank an Iris Schweiger f\u00fcr die Organisation. Wir begr\u00fc\u00dften Mitglieder aus 6 Kirchen, die uns durch die Lesungen, Gebete und Reflexionen begleiteten: Christ Church St. James Anglican Church (https:\/\/www.christchurchstjames.ca\/<\/a>), Mimico Baptist Church (https:\/\/mimicobaptist.ca\/<\/a>) , Mimico Presbyterian Church (https:\/\/mimicopresbyterian.com\/<\/a>), St. Leo’s Catholic Church (https:\/\/stleoset.archtoronto.org\/<\/a>), Wesley Mimico United Church (https:\/\/www.wmuc.ca\/<\/a>), und Gastgeber Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church (https:\/\/martinluther.ca<\/a>).<\/p>\n

F\u00fcr die musikalische Umrahmung sorgte eine neunk\u00f6pfige Band.<\/p>\n

Anneli und Greg als technische Unterst\u00fctzung pr\u00e4sentierten uns eine Pr\u00e4sentation und eine Diashow mit Hintergrundinformationen \u00fcber Pal\u00e4stina unter Verwendung von Material des Women’s Inter Church Council of Canada.<\/p>\n

Wir sind dankbar f\u00fcr die Teilnahme der Freiwilligen und Besucher. Vielen Dank an alle, die beim Aufbau geholfen, das Essen mitgebracht, den Vorsitz gef\u00fchrt, pr\u00e4sentiert und sich unter die Leute gemischt haben.<\/p>\n

Der Weltgebetstag ist eine internationale \u00f6kumenische christliche Laieninitiative, eine Gebetsbewegung, die uns einl\u00e4dt, unsere Glaubenserfahrung mit der Erfahrung von Christinnen und Christen aus anderen L\u00e4ndern und Kulturen zu bereichern und Frauen, die von Ungerechtigkeit betroffen sind, Hoffnung zu bringen.<\/p>\n

January 21, 2024\u00a0 – World Day of Prayer 2024 from Palestine – An Ecumenical Service will be held at Martin Luther Church on Saturday\u00a0 March 2, 2024 at 1:00 pm (12 pm Set up & Potluck)\u00a0 <\/strong>2379 Lake Shore Blvd West, Etobicoke.<\/p>\n

The Ecumenical Service<\/strong> was written by the World Day of Prayer Committee of Palestine, prepared and adapted for use in Canada by the Women\u2019s Inter-Church Council of Canada<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

World Day of Prayer 2024 from Palestine<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dear World Day of Prayer enthusiasts and dear all who would like to try this on for size. You are invited to become a part of the team.<\/p>\n

A special invitation for our neighbouring churches and community outreach teams<\/strong><\/em> e.g. Bowls and Blessings Outdoor Food Ministry, Dinner Church, Drum Circle, to attend and join the team.<\/p>\n

Do you love to play an instrument, enjoy singing, reading, cooking?\u00a0 Are you tech savvy or is your talent is decorating? Contact Iris at iris.g.schweiger@gmail.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Imagine over 1.5 million Christians speaking 90 different languages in 150 countries coming together in spirit; uniting to pray for relevant issues affecting women and children. This was the 2023 reality for this tremendous movement that has been active for nearly 100 years.<\/p>\n

The World Day of Prayer is traditionally celebrated on the first Friday of March, although local communities can choose another date. Due to construction at MLC we are choosing to plan this event on the weekend.<\/p>\n
