DESCRIPTION:Sunday June 19\, 2022 — 2ND SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST -Please no
 te there will be no service at our church. A group of us are going on a Ch
 urch Day Trip to Petroglyphs Provincial Park + a sermon will be made avail
 able on our YouTube channel as part of the ELCIC Summer Sermon Series+ 9:3

 ble on our YouTube channel\; preaching will be Rev. Lyle McKenzie\, as par
 t of the ELCIC Summer Sermon Series.\n\nCar-pooling is being arranged. Tra
 vel time: approx. 2.5 hours each way\n\nSign up now for our church trip to
  Petroglyphs Provincial Park together with Martin Luther Church Ottawa (ht
 tps://glco.org/en/).We will spend a nice day together\, visiting the museu
 m with the ancient Indigenous petroglyphs\, stroll through the park\, picn
 ic\, and enjoy the landscape around us.\n\nIndigenous rock carvings = petr
 oglyphs\n\nThe Petroglyphs Provincial Park (https://www.ontarioparks.com/p
 ark/petroglyphs) is in Woodview\, Ontario\, a small town just northeast of
  Peterborough\, Ontario.\n\nWe will visit the Learning Place Visitor Centr
 e to discover the traditions of the Ojibway (Nishnaabe) people. The park's
  visitor centre was opened in 2002. It houses the largest known concentrat
 ion of Indigenous rock carvings (petroglyphs) in Canada.  The carvings we
 re created in the pre-Columbian era and represents aspects of First Nation
 s spirituality\, including images of shamans\, animals\, reptiles\, and\, 
 possibly\, the Great Spirit itself. It is a sacred site is known as “The
  Teaching Rocks”.\n\n\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n**********************************\n
