DESCRIPTION:Dinner Church by the Lake this coming Wednesday\, April 3 at 6:
 30 pm\n\nAs we continue our tour of the Lakeshore\, we learn what’s impo
 rtant in the community from organizations serving the area. This time at D
 inner Church\, Carla Neto will speak at our church about being the Communi
 ty Program Manager at Women’s Habitat which provides shelter and outreac
 h (https://womenshabitat.ca/ ).\n\nPlease bring a dish to share at the pot
 luck and come early or stay after to help.\n\nBio: Carla Neto has a Bachel
 or of Social Work degree from Ryerson University and is currently a candid
 ate for a Masters of International Business Administration with the Westfo
 rd School of Management\, Dubai (UAE). Prior to coming to Women’s Habita
 t\, Carla managed the YWCA Women’s Shelter and Transitional Housing and 
 Support Program for over 10 years where she successfully implemented the T
 rauma-Informed Service Model and developed a Housing Readiness Program. Ca
 rla is a transformational leader and an avid advocate for social justice. 
 Carla chairs the Manager’s group and co-chairs the Transitional Housing 
 and Support Program (THSP) Network where she is the Lead for the Housing T
 ask Group. Carla currently represents Women’s Habitat in two important c
 ommunity networks\; the Mimico Lakeshore Community Network (MLCN) and the 
 Lakeshore Affordable Housing Advocacy and Action Group (LAHAAG). These net
 works focus on social reform issues such as Poverty Reduction\, Housing\, 
 Transit and Youth Engagement.\n\nDinner Church is a monthly get-together f
 or anyone who is looking for a place to truly connect with other people an
 d explore faith and spirituality. It's part potluck\, part sermon\, and pa
 rt conversation. It’s basically doing what Jesus did: getting people tog
 ether\, eating food\, and talking about good and life-giving things. Who d
 oesn't need that in their lives?! Whoever you are\, wherever you're at\, t
 his is for you. You’ll be welcome\, wanted\, and accepted here.
