 Change and loss are part of our lives\, whether it be the moving on of a s
 ignificant spiritual leader\; the loss of our personal soulmate or parent\
 ; the loss of our own mobility or of someone we are now caring for: and th
 en there are the sorrows of the world\, including the climate emergency. I
 n confronting life’s major challenges\, we can feel inadequate to the ta
 sk.\n\nGood Grief! Befriending Loss in Ourselves\, Others and our World \
 n\nSaturday November 18\, 2023\, 9:45 am to 3:15 pm\n\nIn this workshop:\n
 • We will normalize the experience of loss and grief by exploring psycho
 logical and spiritual dimensions associated with significant life changes.
 \n• We will explore the challenge and opportunity of loss through presen
 tations\, personal and group reflection.\n\nSchedule:\n9:45-11:00 am    
   Welcome\, getting to know the group\, how we will work together and int

 ilitator:\nRev. Dr. Anne Simmonds\, former adjunct faculty at Emmanuel Col
 lege\, has taught courses in Death Dying and Grieving\, and Prayer\, in Em
 manuel College’s M.Div.\, Continuing Education\, and Parish Nursing Prog
 rammes. She is an ordained United Church Minister\, spiritual director\, w
 orkshop leader. She is a gifted speaker and facilitator who draws on her e
 xtensive experience in teaching\, congregational ministry\, hospital chapl
