On this day the Holy Spirit sent the disciples out into the world with courage and joy.\n\nRed is the colour of fire and blood\, of passion and life. On Pentecost\, it recalls the tongues of flam e that rested on each of the disciples (Acts 2:3) — a visible sign of th e Spirit’s arrival\, igniting a boundary-crossing message to the world. Across centuries of Christian tradition\, red has become the liturgical co lour of the Holy Spirit: vivid\, urgent\, alive. When we wear it together\ , we make our bodies part of God’s promise — we are a Spirit-filled\, Spirit-sent people.\n\nAs a sign of the Spirit’s flame\, we invite every one to wear something red to worship.
