German-speakers from all churches in the GTA\, including our own\, are welcome to attend the ecumenical service in German-language\, read a r ole\, help with refreshments\, as well as set up/take down for the gatheri ng afterwards.\n\nWorld Day of Prayer is a global ecumenical movement led by Christian women who welcome everyone to join in prayer and action for p eace and justice. Every year\, a different country prepares the service ma terials. The World Day of Prayer is generally celebrated on the first Frid ay of March: March 7th in 2025.\n\nThis year's theme is "I made you wonder ful" based on Psalm 139:14 (1-18). Join us to learn about the Cook Islands \, their culture\, and history\; hear the artwork by Tarani and Tevairangi Napa explained\; and read and sing from the service booklet written by th e women from the Cook Islands.\n\nThe bocklet „Weltgebetstag Cookinseln wunderbar geschaffen Gottesdienst“ in German will be available.\n\nWe th ank those who attended a fruitfal planning meeting at our church on Friday January 31\, 2025.
