Summer worship series featuring our stained glass windows

Last updated on December 6th, 2023

UPDATE: The book “A Window into the Gospel” will be available soon! Written by Pastor Dr. Gerhard Hille and our previous Vicar Adam McComb, it describes the meaning of each stained glass window in our church through biblical stories and interesting anecdotes. Take home a piece of Martin Luther Church Toronto history! $20 each.

This is another part of our experience of COVID-19 on our detour – the church, for many, is far away. In this case I don’t mean the church as a spiritual institution, but simply the building. Vicar Adam McComb and I therefore had the idea to show you parts of our sanctuary. More precisely, we would like to remind you of our 20 stained glass windows.

To that end, we would like to prepare and deliver to you at home six online Sunday services from June 6 through July 11, 2021. We will work through and interpret the biblical references of the windows. Because Vicar Adam on the one hand would like to help with this project, but on the other hand is not fluent in German, we will conduct these services bi-lingual German and English in the “joint format”. We hope that in this way something familiar will come into your homes and that, at the same time, this worship series will be like preparation for our reopening.
