Background
Please bring some food to share for a potluck.

All are welcome to our Maundy Thursday Dinner Church on March 28, 2024 at 7:00 pm. Join us as we eat a bread-focused meal, listen to songs from our church choir, and reflect on the transition from the Last Supper into Good Friday.

Our Church Choir will sing: “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom” -Jacques Berthier (Lent Taizé 2022- Taizé Prayer is evening prayer for all Christian faiths. It is a simple, meditative form of worship, calling us to dwell deeply on Christ’s presence around and within us.)
Linda Marcinkus, our organist and choir director, conducts the choir with further snippets in a medley:
– “Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, dona nobis pacem.” -Victor C. Johnson. (Translation: Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us. Grant us peace.)
– “When I survey the wondrous cross on which the Prince of glory died, my richest gain I count but loss, and pour contempt on all my pride. See from His head, His hands, His feet, sorrow and love flow mingled down! Did e’er such love and sorrow meet, or thorns compose so rich a crown?” – Isaac Watts
– “Amazing love! How can it be that Thou, my God, shouldst die for me? Love so amazing, so divine, demands my doubts, my life, my all.” -Charles Wesley
– “God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that all who believed in Him should not perish, should not perish.” -Lloyd Larson (based on John 3, 16)
– “We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you. Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.” -Michel Guimont (Quote from St. Francis of Assisi)

Pause and hear prayers and lose yourself in the music of grace in this Maundy Thursday Dinner Church.
