We invite all German speaking congregations in Toronto on March 7, 2025 (Friday) at 11:00 a.m. to a German service in the German language at the Martin Luther Church, (2379 Lake Shore Blvd West, Toronto (Etobicoke), ON M8V 1B7 Tel.: (416) 251-8293). Reception to follow.

World Day of Prayer is a global ecumenical movement led by Christian women who welcome you to join in prayer and action for peace and justice. Each year, a different country writes the service materials. The World Day of Prayer is generally celebrated on the first Friday of March. 2025.

The theme for 2025 is “I made you wonderful” based on Psalm 139:14 (1-18). Come, learn about the Cook Islands, their culture, and history. Hear the artwork by Tarani and Tevairangi Napa explained. Read the service booklet written by the women from the Cook Islands.

We at Martin Luther Church Toronto would like to bring together members of all the German-speaking faith congregations in Toronto.

German-speakers from all churches in the GTA are welcome to attend the ecumenical service in German-language, read a role in the service sheet, and help with refreshments, as well as set up/take down, for this gathering.

Please share the invitation with a special request for those interested in helping to attend an in-person planning meeting at our church on Friday January 31, 2025 at 11 am.

You may reach out to Marlena Muller in the church office [email protected], and/or Vicar Alice Rothgordt, [email protected], to sign up and let us know if you have any questions.
