Christmas Eve Service 2025

We welcomed people from near and far for our 2025 Christmas Eve worship services in German and English at Martin Luther Church in Toronto. Pastor Annika Klappert led the traditional services and preached about the classic “Silent Night”, which we sang, as always at the end, with only the Christmas tree lit.

Our church choir, under the direction of Linda Marcinkus, took centre stage to perform. Philippe Koo Tze Mew Jr. accompanied the choir on the flute for the song, “Süsser die Glocken nie klingen”. Special and loving touches adorned the church, including evergreen branches, lanterns, poinsettias, the manger scene, the banner (new) on the parapet of the organ loft, and the 70th anniversary garden stones that were “Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree” (new this year to commemorate our 70th anniversary).
