Masks for Good

Last updated on January 23rd, 2021

Our project Masks for Good continues into 2021. If you have time, talents, questions and funds, please reach out to Vicar Adam McComb (vicarmccomb@martinluther.ca) and Iris Schweiger , President, Church Council (president@martinluther.ca) about how to add to the projects.”

July 9, 2020 – “Masks for Good,” is a collaborative campaign between Martin Luther Church, Redeemer Church, and Stonegate Ministry.  This campaign is a response to the newly instituted bylaws and serves as an opportunity for our communities to produce and distribute face masks for our neighbours, especially for those most vulnerable. The fight against COVID-19 is far from over, and we want to ensure that every person has access to personal protective gear. A face mask is essential in slowing the spread of the virus.

“Masks for Good” will produce and distribute masks to food banks, shelters, and other key locations. Not only will this campaign distribute facemasks, but it will also allow us to hear the voices of those we meet and learn more about the needs of our communities.

Augustine is helping with the mask project by making deliveries on his bike.

In order for this campaign to be successful, we need you! We are asking for your support and participation. If you are able to donate or cut fabric, sew masks, or bike around town to transport materials, we need you! Please contact Ariane for more information at ariane.oelkrug@gmail.com. Together, we can make a difference.
