Our calendar year for Sundays and Major Holy Days comes from the Revised Common Lectionary (RCL) as adapted for use in Evangelical Lutheran worship in North America. We are currently in the Liturgical Calendar “Year A” which focuses on the Gospel of Matthew.
In each cycle of the Liturgical Calendar there are six seasons – each emphasising a part of the life of Jesus: Advent: November 27, 2022 through December 23, 2022, Christmas: December 24, 2022 through January 6, 2023, Time after Epiphany: January 6, 2023 through February 25, 2023, Lent: Feb. 22, 2023 through April 6, 2023, The Three Days: April 6, 2023 through April 8, 2023, Easter: April 9, 2023 through May 28, 2023, Time after Pentecost: May 28, 2023 through November 19, 2023.

On December 21, 2021 the church choir recorded their Christmas music, four songs in German and English, from the sanctuary of our Martin Luther Church Toronto, since they would not be able to sing in-person at Christmas Eve worship services this year.
