Holy Week and Easter 2025

Schedule and Food Drive

We have multiple events happening during Holy Week so feel free to join as many as you are able – everyone is welcome! Sharing food together is a common thread throughout.

Please bring non-perishable food for our food pantry and Wesley Mimico United Church Food Bank to support our neighbours around the church, especially since Bowls and Blessings our outdoor food ministry (which usually happens Tuesdays and Fridays at noon) will not take place on Good Friday.

EVENT HOSPITALITY Please let us know if you are available to help with hospitality. Can you bring food or drink or supplies and/or help with set up/take down, serving and clean-up for our gatherings? – 6:00 pm Choir practice in preparation for Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Contact Linda Marcinkus, the choir director via church office.
– 7:00 pm Online Bible Group with Ottawa and Washington German Lutheran congregations, in both languages German and English (read John 13:1–17,31b–35). Sign up for the Zoom link with the church office.

Apr 18, 2025 GOOD FRIDAY -9:30 am English full traditional worship service with Holy Communion + 11:00 am GERMAN Service with Holy Communion. Both with Church Choir (Vicar Alice Rothgordt, presider).

TRANSPORTATION: Martin Haefele is organizing a carpool for anyone who needs assistance getting to the German Good Friday service at 11:00 am on April 18, 2025. If you would like a ride to church on that day, please contact him at mhafele@rogers.com or call the church office.
