Three fun community events to help the Day Care re-open
Last updated on February 17th, 2018
The multicultural, non-denominational Martin Luther Church Day Care, a Mimico community service for children and families, is working towards re-opening the toddler program closed by a fire two years ago. There is still much to do to. Your family can help!
We invite you to three fun community events:
1. Playground Cleanup on Saturday, August 22nd between 2:00 and 4:00 pm. Help revitalize the church’s backyard for daycare children and neighbours. There’s so much more to this area than parking. Bring your gardening and handyman tools. Many hands make light work.
2. Benefit Concert on Saturday, August 29th at 5:00 pm. Enjoy a gospel choir concert featuring the St. Martin Gospel Choir from Nienburg, Germany in the nave of Martin Luther Church, 2379 Lakeshore Blvd West.
3. Day Care Open House at 5 Superior Avenue on Tuesday, September 1st from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Explore the renovated day care space, meet Ward 6 Councillor Mark Grimes, and vote on a mural design created by local artist Magnus Hjerpe to enhance the future look of the day care building.
