We invite you and your family to a hiking and fundraising activity on Victoria Day Monday May 20, 2019. All ages. Dogs are welcome.

The plan is to hike one of two distances on the Bruce Trail in and around Mono Cliff Provincial Park and have dinner at Martina Murray’s house afterwards. Martina is a member of our congregation and lives with her family and many animals on the north border of the park.

There will be two options for the hike:

Option A – From Martina’s house a small loop through Mono Cliff Provincial park about 8 km long accompanied by her goats. Starting time will be at 12 noon.

Option B – From a parking lot near Hockley Valley Provincial Nature Reserve through Mono Cliff Provincial Park to Martina’s house 15 or 18 km long. Starting time is planned for 10am.

2019 Hiking in May Bruce Trail in and around Mono Cliff Provincial ParkAfter the hike Martina and her crew will serve dinner with soft drinks at about 5pm. Please let Martina or me know if you have any dietary restrictions or would like eat vegetarian.

The cost for this is $15 for adults and $5 for children under the age of 15 years. In addition please consider a voluntary, tax deductible donation to our church, so that we avoid or minimize the deficit in our household that we had last year.

Please wear hiking boots and come prepared for the weather. Sunscreen, a hat, snack as well as a water bottle would be useful. The Bruce trail can be narrow, steep and rocky.

To sign up just e-mail me at treasurer@martinluther.ca with the number of hikers in your party and which option they would like to take. Payments can be made online or through the donation envelopes at church – please mark “May hiking tour”. You can also send an INTERACT e-transfer to treasurer@martinluther.ca.

Looking forward to hiking with you.
