Thank you to all who participated or attended! The Christmas Play performance –with its original take on “the greatest story ever told” as a movie production within a play– was fabulous.
Conceived, written and dIrected by Alex Boettcher with casting/staging support by Sonja Schweiger and Tanya Zielke –as well as a cast of (not quite) thousands of dedicated young amateur thespians drawn from the families and friends of our MARTIN LUTHER CHURCH congregation who enthusiastically entertained all present– the performance was interspersed at appropriate points by classical Christmas hymns accompanied by our Organist Linda Marcinkus.
The more reflective devotional aspects were presided over by Lay Preacher Iris Schweiger.

UPDATE December 13, 2024 – This Sunday December 15, 2024 all are invited to attend our 11:00am bilingual service led by Iris Schweiger, featuring Christmas carols and our annual Christmas play!
If you would like to be in the play, we are still accepting sheep, angels, etc. to help fill in the background. There will be two rehearsals at Martin Luther Church (5:30 pm on Saturday December 14, 2024 as well as the morning of Sunday December 15), and participants are encouraged to attend one or both practices. Actors young and old are welcome!

We will only have 2 rehearsals: 5:30 p.m. Saturday Dec 14, 2024 and before the service on the morning of Sunday Dec 15th – THIRD SUNDAY OF ADVENT.
The 11:00 am Bilingual German-English Service with the Christmas Play will be led by Iris Schweiger, lay preacher. Carols will be sung accompanied by our organist Linda Marcinkus.
