All Day

10:30 am Service in English and German together with Christ Church Saint James Anglican Church in support of Refugees – Pastor Christian Ceconi and Rev. David Smith, of Christ Church Saint James Anglican Church (CCSJ).

Our two congregations will celebrate worship together, thanking God for our gifts, praying for our refugees and learning about the work of Canadian Lutheran World Relief (CLWR). Christ Church Saint James will bring their church band. Reverend David Smith and Pastor Christian Ceconi will preside together. The refugee support team and CLWR will help us to learn about refugees globally and locally.

After the service we invite everyone for a potluck in our basement. Please contact the office if you can help.

After the potluck from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm you have the opportunity to participate in a group exercise to learn hands-on what it means to be “Forced to flee”. It’s an interactive simulation which puts you in the shoes of someone displaced from their home by conflict.
