Summer Sunday Worship 2017

Summer is a special time at Martin Luther Church. The basement is alive with the daycare children all day. Our Canada Summer Job interns Jenny and Nicholas are working on special projects. Volunteers and local construction businesses are helping to transform our office thanks to your renovation donations and the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) grant. Nature has entered our church in mysterious ways… Have you seen the vine hanging down from the ceiling?

This year we are grateful to Vicar Thara Klein for providing pastoral care from July 11 to July 30, 2017 while Pastor Christian Ceconi is away on vacation. Also, Pastor Katharina Möller (St. George’s Lutheran Church) is covering while they are both away from July 31 to August 5, 2017.

The services lead by Vicar Thara Klein (July 9, 16, and 30) and our lay preachers (July 23 and August 20) will ensure you can attend services regularly throughout the summer and perhaps encounter some unique perspectives.

A highlight will be the English and German service on Sunday, July 9, 2017. Vicar Thara Klein has been inspired by Johnny Cash, an American singer-songwriter. The sermon will be about his life, struggles and faith. Of course we will also enjoy his music
