Christmas Eve English Service at 6:30 pm

Join us for Christmas Eve on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 – 5:00 pm German Service, 6:30 pm English Service. Both services will be led by Vicar Alice Rothgordt. Both services with the Church Choir led by Linda Marcinkus, our organist.

As the year draws to a close and the holiday season approaches, please take a moment to reflect on all that we have achieved together. Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church is much more than a building for Sunday services. Thanks to your generous contributions of time and money, it’s also a vibrant local community hub with caring outreach programs.

We all look forward to our Sunday services, the beautiful music, inspiring sermons, and the meaningful conversations before and after each service, and at Bible Study. During the week, our building is a lively home for many community groups including the Martin Luther Child Care which runs programs for toddler, pre-school and school-aged children (Monday to Friday), the All Nations Seventh-Day Adventist congregation which runs sabbath services (Saturdays), and the Wesley Mimico United Church food bank program for whom we provide space ahead of their deliveries. Our outreach programs Dinner Church (once a month mid-week), Bowls and Blessings outdoor food ministry (Tuesdays and Fridays at noon), 24/7 Community Food pantry, and raised bed gardens in front of 5 Superior Ave (now put to bed for Winter) make a significant difference to those in need. None of these accomplishments would be possible without the dedication and hard work of our wonderful staff, volunteers, and your ongoing financial donations.

A Note from our Treasurer

We ask you to continue to give generously. As a registered charity, we will be providing you with a contribution receipt early next year. We are asking those who are able to make an additional “one-month PAR donation” or a one-time cheque donation, all tax deductible. A direction for an additional PAR donation can be made by email to Kai Herrmann, our church treasurer ([email protected]).

Each contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference and enables us to continue our mission. We are deeply grateful to those who have already stepped up to support our mission including the flood restoration this year. Your generosity has brought us this far and continues to be the foundation of everything we accomplish together. Your commitment, kindness, and faith in our work make all the difference.

May this season bring peace, joy, and blessings to you and your loved ones.
