SINGERS INVITED
In addition to attending the worship service, we invite singers to join our Martin Luther Lutheran Church choir under the direction of our organist and choir director Linda Marcinkus. All are welcome to attend two choir rehearsals at Martin Luther Lutheran Church on Tuesday October 3 and 10 at 6:00 pm. Please also arrive early at 10:00 am before the start of the closing service on Sunday October 15, 2017 for a final rehearsal.
DELKINA (German Evangelical Lutheran Conference in North America)
On Sunday, October 15, at 11:00 am, we celebrate the closing service of the DELKINA Conference at Martin Luther Lutheran Church (2379 Lake Shore Blvd West, Toronto, near Royal York Rd).
DELKINA (http://www.delkina.org/) represents German-speaking Lutheran congregations across Canada and the United States and this year it is being hosted by the 5 German congregations of Toronto (Christ the King – Dietrich Bonhoeffer Lutheran Church, First Evangelical Lutheran Church, St. George’s Lutheran Church, Epiphany Lutheran Church, and Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church) from Tuesday October 10 to Sunday October 15, 2017. An important part of the German Interest Conference (DELKINA) is its biennial general assembly, which serves to foster fellowship and communication among its members, and to plan for the future.
In its closing service, Bishop Dr. Michael Pryse will preach (in English). All German Lutheran congregations from the GTA are invited to come and worship and sing together. The service will be followed by a reception.
