Dinner Church involves a simple meal and service based on the community meals of the early Christians.
On Wednesday September 22, 2021 at 7:00 pm for Dinner Church we will gather for a time of sharing in the Word, prayer, and learning with guest speaker Rachel Reesor from Jean Augustine Centre for Young Women’s Empowerment in Etobicoke (https://jeanaugustinecentre.ca/). The Jean Augustine Centre is committed to empowering young women and girls between the ages of 7-17 years to improve their life and have a positive impact on the world around them. Empowerment by providing programs that support the mental, physical, and social wellbeing of young women and girls.
FYI the Jean Augustine Centre for Young Women’s Empowerment is named after the Hon. Dr. Jean Augustine P.C., C.M., O.Ont., C.B.E. is the first African-Canadian woman to be elected to the House of Commons. She was elected in the riding of Etobicoke-Lakeshore in 1993 and sat in Parliament until 2006. (Wikipedia)
