Advent celebration in German at 11.00 a.m. on Zoom (Thursday) with well-known German Advent songs and texts
At 11:00 a.m. on Thurs., 2nd Dec. the Martin Luther Church community will celebrate a traditional devotional with beloved German Advent carols and texts together with our fellow Lutheran congregations: St. George’s, Thornhill, Epiphany, and First Lutheran. Afterwards there is the opportunity to get to know each other and conversation.
During the Corona virus pandemic 2020 and 2021, German-speaking churches in Toronto experimented with various digital worship formats – in addition to live-streaming and pre-recorded videos, and found Zoom services were most popular because they give participants an opportunity to experience the services together with other congregants as a virtual community.
