2015 Home Visit for pastoral care
Home Visit for pastoral care

Pastoral Care & Assistance
If you want to talk or celebrate Holy Communion at home because you are unable to get to church, contact our pastoral team at any time.

“A visit does not need a reason,” a pastor once said.

In fact, if you would like a visit, simply let the church office know. They can set up a visit with our pastoral team right away.

Feel free to call for any reason, here are a few suggestions:

  • You have just moved to Toronto and looking for contact with a church.
  • You are celebrating an anniversary or are moving into a new place soon and want to mark this mark this occasion at a church or with a prayer.
  • You like to drink tea or coffee as much as our pastoral team.
  • You have wanted to get involved for a while and need advice on how to get started.

The wise theologian and Pastor Soren Kierkegaard once said, “Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards”.

A good conversation can help us find this path forwards and to understand what has happened in the past. Sometimes a conversation with a Pastor helps to structure our thoughts and to get spiritual insights for further reflection.

This isn’t always done through prayer but it is often helpful- you determine if and how this happens in conversation. This is not always associated with a prayer, but a prayer is often helpful – you get to determine whether and how this happens. If you wish, we also pray for you.

Also, contact us if you want to celebrate an occasion with a worship service, such as baptisms, weddings, wedding anniversaries or when moving into a new apartment or home. When mourning, we accompany you not only at the funeral but after as well. Spiritual guidance can also provide useful insights into different stages of life-threatening illnesses.
